The asking price for a 20th-century used vehicle led to some joking online, but the seller appears to have had the last laugh.

The vehicle in question was a pre-owned 1995 Oldsmobile Ciera SL SUV being offered for $17,995 at Uftring Chevrolet in Washington.

Believe it or not, there is a Facebook group dedicated to Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera Fans. On another Facebook post, a couple comments were unfit for print, but included "... they done lost they ... mind." Printable comments included: "This a beaut" and "Take you around world and back."

In its defense, the vehicle has a mere 11,231 miles — less than 500 a year. At more than 25 years old, it can be informally considered a "classic" and "collector" vehicle. In addition, used car prices have spiked in recent years.

This specific vehicle has no accident or damage history, according to Carfax.com, which lists three previous owners. It had logged a mere 6,127 miles by 1999. Uftring Chevrolet acquired the Olds in late 2022, according to Carfax. The auction website bringatrailer.com lists the car as having been sold for $11,100 by a private individual on Nov. 25.

The original manufacturer's suggested retail price of a standard 1995 Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera SL 4 Door Cruiser Wagon was $17,060, according to jdpower.com. But the Uftring model appears to be loaded, in addition to its miniscule mileage.
